I late more than one year using Scratch to learn making a platformer. While that, I learnt to doing easier things, like mazes and interactive stories. That's just a tip, ok? There's a Scratch Extension called "Blocklive Scratch", and that is used for 2 or more people make a collab, understand? Doing the same game. I have this extension. You can install that to we make a project, where I can teach you some easier things. Remember: Easier doesn't means worst.
What? That's not too hard to learn basic gravity. That's not about being "Griffpatcher", you just need to go to the right place. For example: Today I published on Scratch my first platformer game and, yes, it kinda sucks, but it's my first attempt, and for me it looks good (but with a poop story). And I did that with a tutorial. I can show to who created this game this tutorial. It's very easy. As I say, "you don't need to know, you just need to be in the right palce", in the case, the tutorial...

If you don't remember me, I'm the guy who asked you how to put Scratch projects on itch.io. I changed PFP.
1. This isnt a metroidvania (you dont unlock things to find new areas or anything at all)
2. This game is broken and you dont even have gravity.
3. it took me 30 seconds to beat the game and it wasnt even that enjoyable.
I mean no hate but you should really fix these errors before the jam ends.
I mean, what do you really expect from Scratch? No one is built like the Giga-Chad Griffpatch.
